THE GARDEN OF CURIOSITY - CURIOUS CONVERSATION SERIES
CURIOUS CONVERSATION #1 + WORKSHOP at 5pm Friday 1 April
Join Prying Eye in conversation and activity with Shannon Novak, the artist behind Make Visible - an ongoing community led project which acknowledges, celebrates and supports diversity and inclusion, and connect with the positive role art and artists can play in building awareness, understanding, inclusion and belonging.
The Make Visible project is centred at the Queensland Art Gallery/Gallery of Modern Art (QAGOMA), extending out into the community state-wide. The University of Southern Queensland joins as a satellite venue, making space for LGBTQI+ voices in the area to be heard.
Made possible through collaboration with the University of Southern Queensland, this activity is an extension of Shannon Novak’s Make Visible project at ‘The 10th Asia Pacific Triennial of Contemporary Art’ (APT10), Queensland Art Gallery | Gallery of Modern Art (QAGOMA), until 25 April 2022.
The workshop from the initial Make Visible project at QAGOMA has been further developed by USQ project lead team organisers: Assoc. Prof. Amy Mullens, Assoc Prof. Beata Batorowicz, Dr Annette Brömdal and Mr Brodie Taylor.
